More than just an aspiration
Sustainability is becoming increasingly important. For us, sustainability is more than just an aspiration – it is an integral part of our daily work as a modern freight forwarder and logistics service provider.
Our goal is to make transport logistics efficient while continuously improving our carbon footprint: with intelligent consolidation of consignments at the Nord-Hub, with e-vehicles and our own solar power, and with digital processes.
Consolidated instead of driven individually
As the “Nord-Hub” of ONLINE Systemlogistik, we consolidate consignments from all over Germany during the night and sort them for onward transport to the north. This consolidation ensures optimal utilisation of our lorries – the foundation for resource-saving, low-emission transport logistics. Fixed loading quotas with all system partners ensure reliability and precise planning of every single tour.

Efficient on the move, energy in view
Our goal is to make transport logistics efficient while continuously improving our carbon footprint. To this end, we rely on e-vehicles, among other things, and have already switched part of our company car fleet to electric drives.
Our own charging stations in Porta Westfalica-Nammen also make it easy to use the e-cars. We plan to expand the charging infrastructure – also with a view to the possible use of electrically powered lorries.
We also focus on sustainability in our logistics processes: through intelligent route planning, consolidation of consignments and optimal utilisation of our lorries, we avoid unnecessary journeys and noticeably reduce fuel consumption. Combined with strong logistics networks, we create transport logistics that sensibly unites economic efficiency and ecological responsibility.
Reducing energy consumption
As part of our ISO 50001 certification, we continuously work to reduce our overall energy consumption. An important starting point is optimising our fleet. In addition to using “Euro 6” lorries throughout, we plan to purchase several 600 kW electric lorries. These will be charged at our own charging stations at our main site.
Industrial trucks
We also pay attention to sustainable solutions in the rest of our infrastructure. For indoor industrial trucks, for example, we use lithium-ion batteries, which are considered more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly than conventional lead-acid batteries.
Photovoltaic systems
With our own photovoltaic systems with a total output of 849 kWp, we already generate a significant share of our electricity needs ourselves. Part of the electricity generated is used within the company and will in future be stored in a planned battery storage system, so that it is also available outside sunshine hours.

The logistics industry is constantly changing – and we are actively shaping this development. At MEYER-JUMBO Logistics, we rely on innovative digital solutions to make processes more efficient, transparent and customer-friendly.
Our MJL scan tool
A central component is our own specially developed MJL scan tool. It controls and handles the complete inbound and outbound processing of groupage and system cargo transhipment and maps it in our freight forwarding software. This enables real-time monitoring and complete documentation, leading to more transparency, process reliability and speed.
Online tracking
With our online tracking tool you can keep an eye on your consignments at any time. You receive real-time information on the current status of your transports – quickly, easily and reliably.
Online ticket system
Enquiries, orders or complaints are recorded and tracked digitally and easily. This ensures fast processing, clear communication and complete documentation of every single step.
Email templates for our partners
For individual partners we go one step further: we provide individually designed email templates that can be sent automatically to end customers. Among other things, they contain the direct tracking link and the relevant contact details of our customer service team. This ensures clear, transparent communication along the entire supply chain while relieving our partners' service processes.
